Today I’m sharing my ‘first impression’ reviews of some new beauty products that have come across my desk recently, including the new Shaanxo BH Cosmetics Palette (swatches below), an array of products from Tarte, some newly released primers from Dermalogica and a new foundation from Covergirl. If you’re curious to know how everything actually lasted throughout the day, keep reading below the video, there are some rather surprising results!
EPILOGUE:
The Covergirl Foundation got quite shiny after a couple of hours and I noticed it looked sparkly in some flash photos I took later in the day – actually glittery. Not a big fan of that one.
The lipstick actually lasted much longer than I expected and when it did wear off I was left with quite a nice stain. I’m pleasantly surprised.
The eyeshadows lasted beautifully with only slight fading of the metallic shine and no creasing at all. Overall I’m really impressed the palette especially considering the price ($14.50 USD at the time of writing).
The Tarte eyeliner stayed put with no smudging or gathering on the inner corner.
The Tarte Mascara didn’t flake, but it did transfer a little under my eyes. Whyyyyyyy??!!
The blush kept it’s pigment and the bronzer stayed put all day.
Overall an impressive bunch of new products!
